The Business Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by developing new business opportunities within the SMB to Enterprise sectors, focusing on building relationships and closing sales.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities with new customers within assigned territories, focusing on areas near Visionary's fiber and wireless network deployments
- Engage in consistent strategic cold calling and prospecting to generate new business, aiming for a high volume of in-person appointments weekly/monthly that contribute to achieving revenue goals
- Conduct comprehensive customer needs assessments related to telecommunications and data infrastructure; recommend suitable solutions based on identified requirements
- Develop and deliver compelling written proposals and presentations to decision-makers, showcasing the value of our services
- Maintain accurate and timely forecasting and reporting of sales activities and opportunities to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams during the design, deployment, and activation of services, ensuring a seamless customer experience
- Process contracts and sales orders efficiently for new or upgraded services, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Support ad hoc projects and financial analyses to inform strategic business decisions and enhance sales effectiveness
- Participate in networking events, tradeshows, and industry activities to promote the company's offerings and expand professional relationships
- Travel as necessary to meet clients, attend industry events, and support sales initiatives, working flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
Requirements:
- Strong background in sales within the telecommunications or data communications industry
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
- 2-5 years of experience in business development, territory management, and cold calling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive understanding of industry terminology and solutions
- Highly motivated and organized
- Capable of managing multiple prospects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Self-starter attitude
