
Duties: Drive analytical projects to identify opportunities for mitigating risks that contribute to delinquencies and credit losses. Integrate insights from various data sources for internal card portfolio reporting, cross-line of business analytics, and third-party data. Communicate reporting and analytics findings to executive leadership and regulators. Support the team's reporting processes with original analysis and data validation. Identify emerging credit risks to the credit card portfolio that are not fully mitigated by scoring models and strategy rules through dataset manipulation and analysis. Build new credit performance monitoring to enhance existing executive management and regulatory reports. Analyze patterns in cross line of business and bureau tradeline data to provide insights on the credit universe and contextualize the credit card portfolio's performance. Improve data controls in the team's analytical functions through automation requiring minimal manual intervention.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics, Risk Management, Financial Management, Data Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics, Card Risk Reporting & Analytics, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Analyzing the impact of UAT testing procedures on sources used in business performance reporting; Writing SQL queries using profile data attributes to produce insights into customer characteristics; Managing data processes for producing internal reports containing key performance indicators (KPIs); Evaluating performance data and making strategic recommendations ensuring compliance with KPIs; Identifying statistical patterns associated with trends for variables used as KPIs; Performing data analysis using SQL to extract, clean, transform, and load data; Applying sampling techniques including Stratified sampling, Simple random sampling and Systematic sampling on datasets with a population of at least 40,000 rows in a dataset; Assembling data analytical input including charts, tables, graphs and other analysis, using Excel functionalities including VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, IF statements, Conditional Formatting, Find & Replace, and Text to Columns; Reviewing and communicating adjustments to requirements, specifications, business processes and prioritization.
