The Compensation Analysts provide support for compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring internal equity and external market competitiveness. Responsible for organizing and managing salary surveys and acts as administrator of MarketPay for the compensation team. Conducts audits, analysis, and assists in automating distribution of compensation communications.
Job Market Analysis:
• Perform market analysis on new and existing positions using established systems and standardized forms such as compensation surveys and industry data. This analysis will include pay grade and FLSA classification recommendations. This will require collaboration with HR Director, HR Manager and HR Business Partners
• Subject matter expert for the compensation pricing tool, currently Marketpay.
Pay Equity:
• Assist in ongoing efforts to determine and maintain pay equity, both internally and externally.
• Analyzes current employee data, not limited to paygrade structure, experience level, and position in range.

Job Function: Audits and Reporting
• Conduct weekly audits and completes data entry as needed.
• Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR leadership and business partners as needed.
Compensation Survey Participation:
• Lead participation in workforce and compensation surveys.
Compliance:
• Assist in the standardization of pay policies and practices across UC Health. Help to identify potential pay issues and offer recommendations.
• Analyze internal pay structures to ensure fairness, competitiveness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Job Code Maintenance:
• Maintain a Job Code library for job codes, pay grades, shift differential, etc. Create new, maintain current and delete obsolete job codes in the HRIS system.
Annual Merit Process Implementation:
• Be an expert in the annual performance appraisal process and the annual merit process.
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Any. Finance, IT, Psychology, Accounting, etc. | Preferred: PHR, CCP, SHRM-CP. | No experience required.
