What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, vandalism, and property damage; document activity in daily logs and incident reports.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disorderly conduct, lost and found issues, and coordinating with site management and/or local responders as needed.
- Operate security-related systems as assigned, such as CCTV monitoring, access control points, and alarm panels; communicate updates via radio and/or phone per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
