ePac Flexible Packaging is a global flexible packaging company with locations across the United States and Canada, focused on helping brands compete with great packaging. The Market Development Manager will drive growth in the co-packing space by leveraging existing connections and providing technical support to enhance sales and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to provide valuable products and services to the Co-packer market and gain sales in this space
- Provide technical support for ePac Customers to ensure ePac packaging materials are processing to meet customer needs
- Provide technical support for ePac plants to ensure our equipment and processes are aligned to process ePac materials in line with plant KPI goals
- Support technical service requirements such as structure testing and analysis, customer complaints, assist in material qualification trials internally and externally
- Creates packaging related SOPs, work instructions and packaging specifications
Requirements:
- Solid existing network within co-packing facilities
- Detailed experience within flexible packaging
- Strong existing connections with co-packers across North America
- Extensive knowledge of Co-packer and customer filling equipment and materials
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and implement solutions for raw materials and finished products
- Support to ePac Customers and Co-packers needs
- Lead efforts to provide valuable products and services to the Co-packer market
- Provide technical support for ePac Customers
- Provide technical support for ePac plants
- Support technical service requirements such as structure testing and analysis
- Create packaging related SOPs, work instructions and packaging specifications
- Extensive knowledge of engineering science and technology and application in the FFS area
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
- Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering or related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science or equivalent experience
- Min 10 years direct copacker related and FFS equipment related experience
- Packaging innovation/engineering experience in flexible packaging
- Proficient in the use of Google Suites and related software
- Experience in a variety of packaging materials and applications - flexible films, paperboard cartons, corrugate, labels, adhesives, etc
- Knowledge of ISTA, TAPPI, and ASTM packaging test methods
- MS Dynamics experience is a plus
