The Business Management Analyst role involves setting up processes and data reporting to facilitate business governance and decision making, contributing to data gathering and generating insights, and project managing initiatives while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setting up of governance tools and processes under the leadership of the Head of Service. Depending on the nature of the work activities may span an initiative end-to-end (e.g., current state assessment, future state design, gap analysis, implementation / go-live): such as (but not limited to)
- New enterprise level Objectives & Key Results (OKR) dashboard: identifying the data sources and methodologies for calculation and setting up repeatable / sustainable processes to calculate on bi-weekly basis, ongoing production of the dashboard
- Comprehensive review of all management reporting with an eye towards streamlining and increased consistency (where appropriate) in all reporting. This will span financial management reporting through business and functional area reporting
- Launching and ongoing implementation of initiatives / programs driving at culture change: e.g., associate engagement, collaboration, decision making
- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients
- Lead and coach a team in their delivery of the day-to-day operational requirements and process adherence
- Provide coaching and development support in reinforcement of building a high performing team and excellence internal and external client service
- Champion the continuous dialogue process that supports performance, development, career pathing and accountability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative area of study preferred (e.g., business, economics, math, applied math) and experience in analytical and quantitative work/reasoning; at least 5 years' leadership management experience of service teams/data teams preferred
- Minimum of three years in management consulting, investment banking, or private equity a plus but not required
- Data and analytics: experience in working with large, disparate data sets, driving to insights and reasoning
- Experience working with data analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tableau
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: concise communications and presentations that present data in a clear and visually appealing way and drive at informed business decision making
- Research and analysis (e.g., competitive analysis, benchmarking, industry best practices)
- Process mapping and redesign; Continuous improvement processes
- Project management (e.g., creating timelines, documenting meeting takeaways, following up on deliverables)
- Data and analytics, FP&A, reporting type functions
- Intellectual curiosity to ask questions, get to the root cause / explanation
- Critical reasoning to extrapolate and connect the dots given imperfect information
- Strong influencing skills: ability to work in cross functional environments with different stakeholders across the company
