They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for guiding complex electrical engineering efforts, leading design projects, and mentoring team members while ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects
- Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance
- Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers
- Participate in or lead staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development
- Provide quality oversight, including conducting and/or issuing final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
- Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges
- Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client and partner relationships
- Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy, accountability, and adherence to professional standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural)
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
- Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, applicable codes and standards, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead discipline coordination and manage complex or large-scale project scopes
- MEP/Construction Industry experience
- High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus
