As a Field Service Engineer, you will support customers through on-site installation, implementation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent Spectroscopy systems, ensuring laboratories run efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and optimize Agilent Spectroscopy hardware, software, and networked systems at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve product performance and availability issues at the system and solution level
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and system optimizations
- Proactively identify potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned downtime
- Advise customers on preventive maintenance schedules and configuration best practices
- Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, operating systems, and application software
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and high‑quality service delivery
- Train customers and, as needed, other field engineers on Agilent Spectroscopy solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent university‑level degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience working with analytical instrumentation, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Agilent Spectroscopy systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a systems‑focused approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to travel 50% or more, based on the territory at the time
- Valid driver's license required
- hands‑on experience with ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, and/or UV‑Vis spectroscopy
