Supplier Quality Engineer

Ainsley Search Group is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with experience in Supplier Quality Audit on 3rd party manufacturing suppliers for a Global Electronic Manufacturer located in Texas. The role involves conducting audits, root cause analysis, and managing supplier performance to ensure quality compliance and improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Report to Quality Director and develop, streamline and manage Supplier Management programs on 3rd party contract manufacturing suppliers
• Based on product specification, dimension, tolerance and quality requirement to conduct audit on Manufacturing Suppliers’ electronic manufacturing process such as SMT, assembly, CCA
• Conduct root cause analysis on manufacturing suppliers and implement SCAR and CI with suppliers to improve quality compliance, reduce waste and lead-time and further achieve cost saving objective
• Develop KPI, scorecard and metrics on 3rd party manufacturing suppliers, manage and monitor supplier performance on quality compliance, lead-time, material waste, etc. to reduce non-conformance and customer returned issues
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Department, Quality Department to support new manufacturing suppliers sourcing, qualification and on-boarding
• Support new manufacturing process development, new tools development to improve supplier’s manufacturing capacities, process and quality compliance
• Conduct routine audits with customers, internal audits and supplier audits on quality audits, ensure compliance with IS09001, AS9100 and related regulations
• Travel to Suppliers as needed, maintain and develop supplier relationship, troubleshoot quality issues with suppliers and conduct site audits regularly

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 4+ years of work experience as Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer within Manufacturing industry
• Solid knowledge with PCB, SMT, soldering, CCA processes, understand quality inspection process on product tolerance and dimension for electronic manufacturing space
• Experience with Supplier Quality Audit and Internal Quality Audit
• Able to travel domestically and internationally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Must be US Person
