Emerging Tech is a mission-driven technology services firm delivering innovative healthcare IT solutions to federal agencies. The Project Manager will support the Department of Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization program, focusing on overseeing processes and managing high-visibility projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the VA EHRM program as a Project Manager within the Core and Cross-Cutting Clinical Portfolio
- Develop, refine, and oversee execution of processes supporting EHRM-IO initiatives
- Lead and/or support high-visibility, strategic projects requiring both functional and technical expertise
- Apply project and program management methodologies to ensure delivery within timelines while maintaining quality
- Develop and review internal and external briefing materials and deliverables
- Create executive-level presentations, strategic plans, SOPs, and other documentation for portfolio leadership
- Provide analysis and input into capability roadmaps and project artifacts outlining activities, requirements, and risks
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and approach; document and present impacts to VA leadership
- Identify, assess, and recommend mitigation strategies for technical and functional risks, particularly related to interoperability solutions
- Analyze and present recommendations to government stakeholders to support decision-making
- Communicate effectively with senior-level executives, including presenting technical solutions
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- Experience managing Information Technology-related projects
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle and project management methodologies
- Experience tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related technical field (or an additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Experience implementing electronic health record systems
