Newsela is an educational company that transforms authentic content into instructional materials for K-12 classrooms. They are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support sales growth by researching and qualifying leads, conducting outreach, and facilitating product demonstrations to engage potential customers.
Responsibilities:
- Researching and prospecting through calls and emails to qualify leads
- Building pipeline for Sales Reps
- Responding to inbound inquiries and conducting proactive cold outreach
- Providing online product demonstrations to draw prospects into initial discovery calls
- Identifying key needs that lead to qualified opportunities for the Sales team
- Collaborating within the Sales organization to inform strategy and process that enhances sales performance
Requirements:
- 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience
- Pipeline generation experience includes engaging prospects through email and phone conversations that lead to qualified meetings
- Leverage Salesforce.com experience and sales process training to tactfully manage a pipeline to meet and exceed team goals
- Familiar with sales platforms such as Salesloft, Outreach.io, or Yesware
- Excellent communicator who can truly empathize with the challenges our different buyers face
- Able to establish clear value propositions that connect buyer/user needs to the product and services we offer
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and use creativity when partnering with team members to ensure flawless execution
