Product Engineering, Assistant Vice President

State Street is a global leader in financial services technology, seeking an Assistant Vice President, Product Engineering to enhance their Financing Solutions technology ecosystem. The role focuses on product management, business analysis, and solution architecture to improve operational resilience and optimize processes across the trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and synthesize business/system requirements through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process mapping; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
• Design and document current (as-is) and future (to-be) workflows using; identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
• Develop conceptual models, functional specifications, and user stories; partner with UX teams on wireframes and prototypes
• Define business deployment strategies, oversee readiness activities, and facilitate end-user training and adoption
• Drive vendor engagements working with Procurement, Legal and Third-Party Risk Management
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams

• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Visio, Figma
• 4+ years of experience in the investment/securities industry
• BS/BA in Finance, Computer Science, or related field
• Expertise in financial services applications supporting transactional processing and reporting across the trade lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of securities lending, repo transactions, collateral management, and custody operations
• Experience with UI/UX design requirements and usability principles
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and conceptual modeling
