Project Manager

AFL is a leading manufacturer of fiber optic cable and accessories, seeking an Information Technology Project Manager to oversee and execute IT projects. The role involves planning, defining project objectives, and ensuring successful project delivery while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Build solid business cases in collaboration with business stakeholders
• Oversee and manage the portfolio of prioritized IT projects throughout the entire project lifecycle ensuring achievement of business cases
• Lead and manage IT projects through the entire project lifecycle
• Train team leaders and other project managers to ensure consistent project delivery in alignment with IT Project management processes
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Regularly report project status to project stakeholders
• Lead the Business Analysis of our internal Service Now requirements as we evolve our IT project management processes focused on our intake and prioritization of work processes

Requirements:

• 4-year college/university degree in either information technology, computer science, software engineering, or business management
• Experience in successfully building an IT program management office in a global manufacturing environment
• 8-10 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of PM process development and execution
• 5-8 years direct experience leading IT projects
• Experience leading business transformation and organizational change management initiatives
• Excellent skill in combining project management practices with software development
• Exceptional skill in time management, multitasking, and attention to detail
• Proven leadership skills and excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
• Proven experience in developing compelling business cases and delivering expected ROIs
• Proven experience in delivering status reports and presentations to multiple stakeholders at all level of the organization
