TruBridge is a company that specializes in healthcare integration solutions, and they are seeking an Interface Engineer Consultant to provide expert support and maintenance for Mirth Connect. The role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing implementations to ensure seamless data exchange between healthcare systems, requiring a strong background in healthcare IT and health information exchange standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read, troubleshoot, and assist with JavaScript, Jave code and Java applications (JVM) as necessary to identify and resolve issues in applications in a timely manner
- Use Linux shell command and have familiarity with PuTTY to troubleshoot server issues, ensuring optimal performance and stability of the system
- Provide support for Java applications, Postgres databases, and Linux server environments. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, working to restore services quickly and efficiently
- Utilize your understanding of networking concepts such as packet logs, TLS, OAuth, and network protocols to assist in resolving issues across various systems
- Experience working with Mirth Connect and clinical integrations
- Familiarity with HL7 messaging standards, helpful to have understanding of FHIR for healthcare data exchange
- Experience working with and troubleshooting APIs
- Familiarity of networking concepts such as packet logs, TLS, OAuth, and network protocols
- Strong experience working with Java and JavaScript, especially in a troubleshooting context. Ability to read and understand code to identify and resolve issues
- Proficiency with Linux at the shell, helpful if familiar with tools like PuTTY for remote management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving issues
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and other stakeholders to understand needs and develop effective solutions
- Monitor and analyze Mirth Connect performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
- Document integration workflows, configurations, and support procedures for internal and client reference
- Stay updated on the latest healthcare integration standards and Mirth Connect features, providing training and support to team members as needed
- Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations related to Mirth Connect
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation as necessary, no extra pay as exempt position
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
- 4 – 7 + years of proven experience working with IMS Engine/Mirth Connect and similar healthcare integration engines
- Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM
- Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, and SQL for Mirth Connect scripting and data manipulation
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution
- Must be able to act both independently and as a team member
