The Business Development Manager will drive growth and expansion by identifying new market opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategic plans to increase revenue and market share within the assigned region.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated region to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty and repeat business
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and identify emerging trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to customize offerings and marketing strategies that address regional customer needs
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to senior management and prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Monitor and report on regional sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within a regional or multi-state context
- Life and Health Insurance Sales License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong understanding of market research techniques and competitive analysis
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
- Experience in the specific industry relevant to the company's products or services
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
- Existing network of contacts within the region's business community
