McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. They are seeking a Director of Network Systems Engineering to lead the execution and delivery of enterprise network services that support critical healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead network engineering and delivery teams responsible for enterprise connectivity services
- Oversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise LAN, WAN, SDWAN, wireless, and cloud connectivity solutions
- Ensure network initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal impact to business operations
- Own operational performance for network services, including availability, performance, incident response, and change execution
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance network reliability and delivery efficiency
- Manage network operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, cost controls, and variance management
- Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure service quality, SLA compliance, and cost optimization
- Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and technology risks; escalate issues with clear recommendations
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure Operations, and Business stakeholders
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing technical leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or related technology domains
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Significant experience leading enterprise network engineering or infrastructure delivery teams in large, complex environments
- Strong working knowledge of modern network technologies, including SDWAN, campus/branch networking, wireless, and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and largescale infrastructure programs
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and nontechnical teams
- Experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries
- Experience with large site refresh programs, M&A integrations, or enterprise standardization initiatives
- Relevant industry certifications or advanced degree
