Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is a U.S. affiliate of Mitsubishi Electric, focusing on critical infrastructure and rail transportation solutions. The Field Project Manager II will lead and manage projects from quotation through completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and project excellence by collaborating with various stakeholders and overseeing field execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Projects from Start to Finish
- Manage and execute sales and maintenance service projects from quotation through completion. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success throughout each phase of the project
- Drive Project Excellence
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to plan, schedule, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Monitor milestones, oversee subcontractor work, and ensure all deliverables meet contractual and safety requirements
- Own Field Execution
- Direct on-site construction and installation activities for critical power, cooling, or substation equipment. Coordinate the delivery and installation of products, and manage system startup and commissioning with internal teams and customers
- Ensure Quality and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and submission of technical documentation—including testing results, as-built drawings, and operation manuals. Write clear scopes of work for subcontractors and review pricing to ensure fairness and profitability
- Foster Customer Collaboration
- Build trusted relationships with customers and general contractors. Address challenges quickly, communicate status updates clearly, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders throughout the life of each project
- Manage Risk and Close the Loop
- Stay ahead of safety, insurance, and warranty obligations. Track project finances, review payment requests, and ensure smooth project closeouts and service transitions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of project management experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Intermediate knowledge of systems such as UPS, battery systems, IT cooling, and substation or renewable energy equipment
- Familiarity with commissioning and field service processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Project
