Future is Now Coalition (FiNC) is dedicated to upgrading how America chooses its leaders by building a citizen-owned system that connects candidates and voters directly. The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for developing the Digital Politics Hub, which includes creating a candidate portal, citizen priority system, and improving the hub based on feedback. This role emphasizes collaboration and understanding citizen needs over purely technical development.
Responsibilities:
- Build the Digital Politics Hub: the action center where citizens connect with candidates
- Create a Candidate Portal: A public directory where candidates create profiles, and citizens browse, filter, and compare them
- Develop a Citizen Priority System: Surveys and polls that capture what citizens care about, with aggregated dashboards candidates can actually use
- Integrate District Lookup: Connecting the Google Civic Information and FEC APIs so citizens can find candidates in their specific district
- Iterate on Hub Improvements: Ongoing iteration on the Digital Politics Hub based on citizen feedback and team needs
- Scope and build early features of Digital Democracy: Politician Report Cards, the Candidate Matchmaker, and the tools that make the full vision real
Requirements:
- Solid experience with Airtable (formulas, automations, relational tables, interfaces)
- Ability to build functional pages and user flows in Softr or a similar no-code platform
- Comfort using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to write and debug code when no-code hits its limits
- Enough coding literacy to read, modify, and troubleshoot JavaScript, APIs, and embeds
- Experience working with APIs (specifically: you'll be integrating the Google Civic Information API early on)
- Familiarity with WordPress (our main site runs on WordPress + Cloudways)
- Any background in civic tech, nonprofit tech, or mission-driven organizations
- Design sense; you don't need to be a designer, but caring about how things look and feel matters here
