Pennant is a holding company providing healthcare services through home health and hospice agencies and senior living communities. The IT Engineer, Field Services role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support to caregivers and clinicians, involving both remote and onsite assistance, IT projects, and infrastructure improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for end users, acting as an escalation point for complex issues
- Complete infrastructure projects, site visits, and acquisition-related IT tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues; escalate when required
- Install and configure systems, applications, mobile devices, and network equipment
- Support network reliability and ensure resilient internet and Wi‑Fi connectivity at communities
- Perform cabling work, including running cable through ceilings and installing junction boxes when job‑related
- Manage assigned tickets, project tasks, and priorities within established SLAs
- Maintain accurate documentation of support cases, configurations, and project details
- Provide end‑user training and support for mobile devices and applications
- Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and application deployments in collaboration with IT teams
- Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and support tools
- Regional travel, including occasional out‑of‑state trips, is required (up to 50%)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk)
- Working knowledge of Wi‑Fi, VoIP, and basic networking concepts
- Strong problem‑solving, organization, and communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and support varied environments
- Ability to travel throughout the region to support communities and partner with operational leaders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when installing or moving equipment
- Ability to use ladders for required IT tasks (e.g., cabling or hardware installation)
