ParsonsKellogg is a leading contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and they are seeking a Project Manager – Automation to lead large-scale automation software implementations. The role involves managing project planning and execution, ensuring successful integration and compliance of automation systems within FAA operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage planning and execution of automation software projects, from development to operational transition
- Build and oversee project plans, budgets, milestones, and risk management approaches
- Coordinate integration, testing, training, and deployment activities
- Serve as the primary FAA interface for software implementation readiness
- Lead change management and communications to support user adoption
- Track progress, resolve issues, and provide status updates to leadership and FAA stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years managing software implementation projects in large, mission-critical environments
- Proven experience with automation systems and systems integration
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- PMP or PgMP certification
- Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed
- Experience implementing FAA automation or aviation-related software
- Projects supporting air traffic management, safety, or surveillance systems
