Automation Project Manager, FAA

ParsonsKellogg is a leading contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and they are seeking a Project Manager – Automation to lead large-scale automation software implementations. The role involves managing project planning and execution, ensuring successful integration and compliance of automation systems within FAA operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage planning and execution of automation software projects, from development to operational transition
• Build and oversee project plans, budgets, milestones, and risk management approaches
• Coordinate integration, testing, training, and deployment activities
• Serve as the primary FAA interface for software implementation readiness
• Lead change management and communications to support user adoption
• Track progress, resolve issues, and provide status updates to leadership and FAA stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years managing software implementation projects in large, mission-critical environments
• Proven experience with automation systems and systems integration
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• PMP or PgMP certification
• Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed
• Experience implementing FAA automation or aviation-related software
• Projects supporting air traffic management, safety, or surveillance systems
