My IT LLC is seeking a Business Analyst with a techno-functional profile for their customer success team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand business needs, defining requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, and offshore developers
- Lead customer engagements including discovery workshops, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and product demonstrations
- Develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Create wireframes, process flows, and mockups to illustrate proposed solutions
- Translate complex insurance business processes into technical specifications
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure user-centered solution delivery
- Conduct product walkthroughs, sprint demos, and UAT support with client teams
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in P&C insurance
- Contribute to product roadmap by capturing enhancement opportunities from client interactions
- Act as a subject matter expert in Client and / or Claims modules during pre-sales, discovery, solutioning and implementation phases
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain
- Strong functional knowledge of Client and/or Claims systems (policy lifecycle, endorsements, renewals, FNOL, adjudication, subrogation, etc.)
- Experience working with insurance carriers, MGAs, or TPAs
- Strong techno-functional orientation – ability to bridge the gap between business and technology
- Proficient in using tools like Redmine, JIRA, Confluence, Figma / Balsamiq / Axure, etc., for managing requirements and wireframing
- Experience working with offshore development teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
- Ability to conduct product demos and training sessions with business users
- Experience working with insurance platforms like Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Insurity, or custom-built Client/Claims systems
- Experience at an Insurtech company
- Knowledge of integration with rating engines, document management, payments, and third-party data providers (e.g., ISO, Verisk)
- Familiarity with ACORD standards and regulatory compliance in P&C
