Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology, seeking a Communications leader for their Cardiac Surgery and Aortic Operating Unit. The role involves developing and executing integrated communication strategies to drive business growth and enhance executive visibility, while managing internal communications and public relations efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the objectives of the Cardiac Surgery and Aortic operating unit and aligns messaging with the Operating Unit President’s cultural voice and the broader Cardiovascular portfolio goals
- Develop a strategy and manage internal communications (all employee meetings, presentations, written communications, video, etc.)
- Guide executive visibility efforts and thought leadership plans across the OU, elevating the profiles of key leaders and positioning the business as an industry leader
- Build and manage strong relationships with media, analysts, and industry influencers to enhance visibility and elevate reputation internally and externally across the Cardiac Surgery and Aortic operating unit
- Lead the strategic conceptualization and execution of creative omni-channel communication campaigns that communicate the business narratives, strategy and storytelling to external audiences, including customers, investors, and strategic partners
- Proactively shape the Cardiac Surgery and Aortic operating unit's identity through traditional and new media channels—paid, earned, shared, and owned
- Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement
- Proactively engage with Cardiovascular communication and GCCM colleagues across the function to represent Cardiac Surgery and Aortic’s needs and opportunities
