The Technical Senior Program Manager will oversee a large program or group of interdependent programs focused on Cybersecurity and Digital Trust, leading program planning and ensuring successful delivery of defined value and outcomes through effective stakeholder management and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead portfolio planning and reporting efforts across a diverse set of technical programs within a functional or technical domain area
- Define and build complex stakeholder communication plans that tie planned outcomes to the broader organization's mission and vision; Motivates cross functional teams of executives, leaders and individual contributors to achieve business goals
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans for complex cross-functional programs to identify relevant stakeholders, to develop positive stakeholder relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice
- Interpret the business needs and define solution recommendations to business problems across one of 8 business portfolios
- Define the execution plans to disseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, and lead the definition of competencies to enable the team to innovate through solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons
- Manage complex cross-functional workstreams across multiple programs including a first focus on change management and driving end user adoption
- Manage identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints across multiple complex and interdependent programs escalating these where appropriate
- Develop own and more junior team member capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential
- Lead the production of and approve program plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver program objectives, comply with the organization's program management framework, and comply with the organization's wider governance structure and processes
- Manage the program review process; provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at agreed review points to enable them to evaluate progress and agree on change
- Review existing operations in a major area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure the required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered
- Manage the delivery of assurance reviews across a group of interdependent cross functional programs, enable the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues identified to give senior stakeholders confidence that the program can deliver to time, budget, and quality
- Negotiate and manage deployment of program/portfolio resources and budgets, providing forecasts and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization
- Leads one or more large program teams (or multiple small to medium teams); defines the vision either at the portfolio level or across a group of interdependent cross functional programs and communicates the outcomes needed along with guidance to achieve outcome, coordinates team actions across cross-functional activities; coordinates flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed; and builds the capability of the team through training, coaching and mentoring
- Partners closely with our Product and Design organization and Finance teams to define benefit targets and track progress against those targets throughout the lifecycle of a program
- Proactive governance of both portfolio and program level execution throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of program and change initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to plan, build and manage budget for assigned programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years of relevant technical and program management work experience, with 2-3 years experience in a retail and eCommerce environment
- Experience working in both Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and waterfall-based environments
- Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence), in particular for managing the flow of value and delivering curated information to appropriate stakeholders
- Understanding of key cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2)
- Familiarity with risk management processes and threat detection strategies
- Knowledge of digital trust principles such as identity management, secure access, data privacy, and assurance
- Knowledge of security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security
- Familiarity with cloud security, network security, encryption, and incident response
- Experience communicating program status, risks, issues, and needs to senior leaders, and managing up
- Experience and knowledge of organizational change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Experience managing alignment across programs, projects or product/technology teams in an enterprise environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing strategic vendor relationships or acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships
- Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
- Proficient in the planning and execution of programs and projects and risk mitigation strategies
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Strong Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- PMP certification or knowledge
