The Senior Business Development Manager will focus on identifying and closing new business opportunities in the Life Sciences sector, driving growth through proactive strategies and collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
- Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and lead generation
- Develop sales strategies to win new accounts or expand existing ones, lead sales cycle, tailor proposals and close contracts
- Identify and engage new Life Sciences clients across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and CROs
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to align go-to-market efforts and messaging
- Represent RWS at events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand visibility and credibility
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and position solutions effectively
- Develop trusted relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities and trends
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Requirements:
- Sales experience within the Life Sciences sector
- Fluent German & English speaking skills
- Experience in selling to pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies and CROs
- Proven success in winning new business and developing accounts
- Experience selling to pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, or CROs
- Understanding of Life Sciences documentation used in translation and localization
- At least basic familiarity with Linguistic Validation processes for COAs
- Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills
- Confidence presenting solutions and leading client conversations
- Structured, organized approach to managing pipeline and sales activities
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Ability to work remotely with previous success in performing independently
