Verdara is a public benefit corporation that provides retirement plans for underserved mission-driven workforces, starting with charter schools. They are seeking a Marketing Specialist to enhance their digital presence and content creation, working closely with senior leadership to support marketing initiatives across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage the production of Verdara’s sales and marketing content, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure brand standards are met
- Support Verdara’s social media presence
- Manage a consistent content calendar aligned with go-to-market priorities
- Adapt content across formats including social posts, one-pagers, presentations, email campaigns, and marketing materials
- Leverage existing ideas, data, and insights into clear, compelling marketing content with the support of AI-based tools
- Help manage marketing workflows, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Support marketing initiatives that increase Verdara’s visibility within relevant sectors
- Track and report out KPIs for marketing initiatives
- Monitor social media channels and route relevant comments, messages, and other feedback to the appropriate internal teams
- Provide qualitative feedback on social media performance to help leadership inform future messaging development
Requirements:
- A strong bias toward execution. You get things done quickly and well
- Strong organizational skills and project management instincts
- 2-5 years of experience in content marketing, social media marketing, or a related role
- A willingness to learn and develop new skill sets as needs arise
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- An understanding of how to leverage AI-based tools to produce consistent, brand-aligned content
- Comfort working in an early-stage environment with evolving priorities
- Collaborative and comfortable working closely with founders and senior stakeholders
- Experience in fintech, retirement, benefits, or financial services
- Familiarity with B2B marketing or thought leadership campaigns
- Experience coordinating with external creative vendors or agencies
