L3Harris Technologies is dedicated to recruiting and developing high-performing talent in defense technology. They are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support their Supplier Quality Team in the Phoenix, AZ region, responsible for ensuring supplier compliance and quality performance.
Responsibilities:
- Visit suppliers to review product & process issues
- Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met
- Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc
- Review and approval of supplier FAIs IAW AS9102
- Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes
- Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating
- Be an active contributor in Early Supplier Engagements such as Post Award Reviews (PAR), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, and Control Plan activity
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages
- Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management
- Create reporting documents to status Supplier's Performance, Non-Conformance History, impact to the Company's CoPQ, and other metrics as assigned
- Participates in managing the supplier ratings/scorecard system and overseeing periodic meetings
- Perform periodic source inspections at assigned suppliers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Quality experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Quality experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Quality experience
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company
- Working knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System Standard and AS9102, First Article Inspection Standard
- Experience in manufacturing and/or inspections required
- Strong problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience required
- Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data from several sources and develop a plan to take action based upon the data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment
- Ability to travel onsite to regional suppliers 80% of the time
- 2+ years' experience with actuators and valves
