Software Engineer Intern (iOS App Development)_Mandarin Bilingual

Philo Homes is an innovative early-stage startup transforming interior design with AI-powered solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to assist in developing and iterating on core features of their iOS app while collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and iterate on core features of our app using Swift / SwiftUI / React / React Native
• Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to build intuitive user experiences
• Optimize app performance, stability, and usability
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making (based on experience)
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Support integrations with AI models, design data, user, and order systems
• Contribute to database design, system performance optimization, and security
• Work closely with frontend engineers to ship features quickly

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (BS / MS / PhD)
• Experience with at least one of the following: Frontend: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, React, React Native Backend: Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, FastAPI
• Strong interest in building real-world products from 0 to 1
• Solid coding habits and understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Proficient in both Chinese and English
• Experience building and shipping apps or web systems
• Exposure to AI, 3D, computer vision, or recommendation systems
• Previous experience at a startup or early-stage company
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Firebase, etc.)
