Job Description:
- Work closely with the Consolidations, FP&A, GL, GDW business leaders on strengthening solutions and providing key business value
- Manage Projects/Initiatives that serve internal Finance customers
- Develops strong relationships, provides services to these business areas, comprehends current condition, business needs, strategies, and plans and recommends cost effective changes for existing processes and systems
- Use comprehensive knowledge of business practices to navigate through data and technology challenges
- Work closely with the business on reporting and data analytics needs
- Provide coordination and direction to offshore technical development and support teams
- Stays current with technology trends and innovations and collaborates with IS Architecture & Governance, Integration, Infrastructure, Data Architects, Security, Data Privacy and other groups to ensure right adoption of business solution used by these areas.
manage improvement/business process transformation initiative/projects with focus on the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Modernization Initiative to go live in 2026.
The role will also be accountable for ensuring compliance with Alcoa PMO procedures including creating and presenting tollgates, reporting on project status, and coordination with the business and implementation partner. Responsibilities also include support for Alcoa compliance and privacy programs - providing required evidence for ASAT/SOX/GDPR demands.
The position works in partnership with the business global process owners enhancing, transforming, and implementing solutions; bridging the gap between business strategy and rite sized technology solutions which fit in a complex technology ecosystem.
The role supports the transformation and modernization of Alcoa’s Enterprise application portfolio and ecosystems through simplification, standardization, digitalization and assists with improving the integration, automation, and data strategies, following company’s standards, governance structure and targeting commonality of business solutions.
The Project Manager also is well connected with business partners specifically focused on global initiatives within the Consolidations, FP&A, GL, and GDW space as well as strong partnership with the Enterprise Applications Lead Team.
Education:
- Technical degree: Information Systems, Engineering or Business Administration
Qualifications:
- 10+ years systems implementation & support experience on complex, large scale applications
- Must have knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP R12: General Ledger
- Experience implanting custom solutions to fill functionality gaps with Oracle R12
- Good understanding of IT Service Management, IT compliance / Sarbanes-Oxley and data privacy regulations
- Understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience with presentations to business contacts
- Understands the importance of data single source and data linage
- Technical programming skills with PL/SQL, Power BI, Shell Scripting, Oracle Application FND architecture - Prefered
