US Fertility is the nation’s leading partnership of physician-led fertility practices, redefining careers in reproductive medicine. The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee project management best practices, manage resources, and ensure successful delivery of healthcare and IT projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, standards, tools, and templates
- Manage PMO and project resources to ensure that resources are not being over-consumed by any given project or projects
- Maintain the PMO’s Operational Process Assets (OPAs) including Lessons-Learned Repository, Issue-Tracking Log, Risk Registry, RAID Log, past Project Management Plans, etc
- Work alongside USF Practices and departments to identify, direct, and vet project opportunities
- Organize and assist with incoming project requests, working with requestors to explore the challenge, objectives, and benefits of the requested project. Work with the requester to facilitate the submission of a business case and project charter, and other required documentation to the project review and formal approval process
- Work with USF Practices to identify and execute projects that utilize IT systems and result in either a decrease in department/practice cost, an increase in generated revenue, simplification of workflows, or improve the staff and/or patient experience
- Submit and/or represent project requests alongside project requestors, to the USF project steering committee for formal project approval, delay, or denial
- Act as a resource to USF Practices and departmental leadership that prefer to manage their projects independently of USF or practice PMO project managers. In these projects, act as a Project Management SME on the project team and provide:
- Project management best practices
- PMO resources designed to increase project success
- Oversight to project scope and timeline to ensure projects are meeting their goals
- Course correction with the Project Manager if goals are not tracking to be met
- Support and assistance for unexpected project events and challenges
- Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing healthcare and IT related projects while ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope
- Ensure that projects are appropriately resourced and that timelines and accurately assessed and communicated both prior to the approval of and throughout the project lifecycle
- Form unique project teams that include Project Sponsor, Project Manager, Stakeholders, SMEs, resources needed to conduct the work required to complete the project, and various other team members as needed
- Ensure projects are on time, within budget, and properly resourced and positioned to meet the deliverable’s acceptance criteria and quality
- Work in close collaboration with USF Practices, IT, and other teams/departments as needed, to promote open communication to ensure the delivery of project deliverables
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and Technology/Process certifications such as ITIL, CAPM, PMP
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Ability to quickly take comprehensive and detailed notes required for every meeting
- Ability to understand, create, and maintain visual process flow documentation. Familiarity with TQM diagrams or other visual data-mapping models a must
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote team building
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building
- Strong computer proficiency including proficiency with MS Office Suite and visual data-mapping software
