Business Data Analyst - Only on W2

MatchPoint Solutions is a fast-growing global IT-Engineering services company providing technology solutions to various clients. They are seeking a highly skilled Data Business Analyst to join their Azure-based data modernization initiative, focusing on data analysis, mapping, and modeling.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and data requirements
• Analyze and profile large datasets using SQL to support business intelligence and data engineering needs
• Develop and maintain source-to-target data mapping documents
• Work closely with Data Engineers to validate data transformations and pipeline outputs
• Partner with Power BI Developers to ensure data models are aligned with business use cases
• Document business rules, data logic, and lineage to support data governance and quality initiatives
• Perform gap analysis between current and desired data flows
• Assist in UAT test case definition and execution in collaboration with QA analysts

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst with a focus on data
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries against large datasets
• Demonstrated experience in data mapping, data profiling, and source-to-target documentation
• Experience working with modern data platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake, and/or Microsoft Fabric is a plus
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing with business and technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
• Prior work with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) or ERP data pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management
• Experience with Excel, Visio, and other documentation tools
