The Project Manager II is responsible for leading cross-functional projects that deliver technology solutions and services for customers in the IT reseller channel, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure, cloud, and services projects for commercial and enterprise customers
- Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resource plans, dependencies, and risk/issue logs
- Facilitate regular project meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure follow‑through from all stakeholders
- Coordinate with sales, solutions architects, engineering, operations, and vendor partners to confirm requirements, delivery timelines, and handoffs
- Track project financials, including estimates, purchase orders, invoices, and margin impacts; escalate variances and recommend corrective actions
- Communicate project status clearly and accessibly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels
- Identify and manage risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and drive timely resolution
- Ensure projects follow established PMO standards, governance, and documentation practices
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending enhancements to delivery processes and tools
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience managing technology or IT services projects, preferably in a reseller, MSP, VAR, or systems integrator environment
- Proven ability to own small to mid‑sized projects independently, from initiation through closeout
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, hybrid; familiarity with agile concepts is beneficial)
- Demonstrated skill in building project schedules, managing dependencies, and adjusting plans based on changing priorities
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar; plus Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/Zoom)
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams that include sales, engineering, operations, and external vendors or partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear business language
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including comfort working with budgets, timelines, and basic financial metrics
- Professional project management certification (PMP) required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Ongoing professional development in project management, technology, or leadership is valued and supported
- Experience delivering projects in one or more of the following: networking, data center, cloud, collaboration, cybersecurity, end-user computing, or managed services
- Familiarity with channel programs and vendor ecosystems (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, HPE, AWS, etc.)
- Knowledge of statements of work (SOWs), change orders, and standard commercial terms related to services delivery
- Experience in a PMO environment with standard templates, metrics, and governance
- Exposure to agile or hybrid delivery models in technology projects
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI - ACP) is a plus but not required
