As a Field Engineer, you will drive strategic customer engagements, translate technical complexities into solutions, and scale global technical expertise within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Strategic Engagements: Partner with Sales and Solution Engineering as an elite resource for high-value opportunities, navigating complex architectural hurdles to drive revenue
- Productize Technical Wins: Execute high-impact POCs and "productize" those efforts into reusable assets like industry accelerators and solution blueprints for the global solution engineering community
- Scale Technical Excellence: Actively advance the organization by distilling complex innovations into scalable training and blueprints that empower regional teams
- Drive Thought Leadership: Contribute regularly to the Boomi Community by writing about digital transformation trends and solving difficult technical problems in public forums
- Bridge Product & PSO: Translate complex customer requirements to Product Management to influence roadmaps and collaborate with Professional Services (PSO) to transition blueprints into successful Paid Pilots
- Modernize Technical Validation: Shift the technical strategy from costly, repetitive POCs toward scalable workshops and custom demonstrations
- Maintain Operational Excellence: Operate with a data-driven approach, utilizing Jira and centralized dashboards to track impact, manage the "Phone a Friend" workflow, and adhere to SLAs
Requirements:
- Deep, hands-on command of the Boomi portfolio (iPaaS, Data Management, API Management)
- Advanced coding skills (Java, Groovy, JavaScript, or Python) to extend platform capabilities and build custom solutions
- Advanced knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Comfortable navigating clusters using tools like K9s, managing data streaming, and troubleshooting runtime frameworks
- Deep expertise in the modern data stack
- Understanding of the nuances of data governance, lifecycle management, and synchronization
- Proficient in cloud data warehouses (e.g., DataBricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Informatica)
- Proficiency in architecting enterprise-grade MDM systems (such as Reltio, Informatica, Ataccama, or Stibo)
- Focus on data integrity and unified record strategy
- Deep understanding of data governance principles—specifically metadata management and data lineage
- Experience to design solutions that adhere to global privacy frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
- Experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions
- Understanding how to integrate with leading model providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google)
- Experience managing local Agent Gardens for data sovereignty
- Experience creating high-visibility expert content—such as blog posts, technical blueprints, and hands-on workshops
