Job Duties Support production and prototype build operations for complex electronic assemblies
Lead and coach a small team of technicians, providing guidance on soldering techniques and workmanship standards
Perform and oversee PCB soldering, wire crimping, cable assemblies, and mechanical assembly work
Make recommendations on solder class, assembly approach, and board-level layout considerations
Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures for assembly and test
Build and support custom test fixtures used during validation and troubleshooting activities
Execute electrical and system-level test programs using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters, and electronic loads
Troubleshoot and debug mechanical and electrical issues during build and test phases
Work with internal teams and external suppliers to drive quality improvements using data-driven methods
Ensure compliance with lab safety, factory processes, and applicable workmanship standards
Qualifications Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies
Hands-on experience with PCB soldering and electromechanical assembly, including soldering, wire crimping, and cable builds
Experience installing and removing BGA components using specialized equipment Familiarity with X-ray inspection methods & acceptance criteria
IPC-A-610 and IPC 7711/7721 certification
Demonstrated ability to debug and repair electrical and mechanical systems
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, demanding environments
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated hardware environments (preferred)
Background working with batteries and battery assemblies
Soldering certification (highly preferred)
Familiarity with Altium or similar PCB design tools is preferred
