
Summary:
Responsible for all activities within the Tooling Department including cutting dies, print plates, and ink management. Supports the production team by coordinating the tooling needs of the Converting Department.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters. Able to communicate via radio to other departments.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate amounts such as percentages, measurements, volumes, and rates.
REASONING ABILITY:
To apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Able to prioritize a list of tasks and manage the work flow of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to problem solve using technical knowledge and an understanding of common production systems
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and carry above your head. Must be able to climb step ladders.
