Second Front Systems (2F) is a fast-growing entrepreneurial company focused on technology and national security. They are seeking a motivated Solutions Engineer to support the deployment and scale of their Game Warden platform, engaging with potential customers and driving technical conversations throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with account executives on pre-sales efforts, owning the technical aspects of the pipeline
- Leading introduction calls, technical sales presentations, product demos, RFP/RFI responses, and architecture workshops
- Assessing customer application compatibility with Game Warden (2F’s Platform-as-a-Service)
- Developing in-depth technical knowledge of 2F products and serving as an SME internally and externally
- Tracking customer feedback and collaborating with product teams to align roadmaps with demand signals
- Creating technical marketing content (blogs, posts, etc.) to drive business development
- Engaging in customer conversations on cloud, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and compliance topics
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements
- Reside in one of the approved hiring hubs: DC/Maryland/Virginia, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC, Denver/Colorado Springs, CO, Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt to different audiences
- 3+ years' experience in customer-facing Sales, Success, or Engineering roles
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (certified or eager to become certified)
- 3–5 years of technical experience (e.g., software engineer, sales engineer, technical PM) with strong problem-solving skills
- 1+ years of software development experience, preferably full-stack web development
- Ability to remain composed in critical situations and communicate clearly
- Strong collaboration skills in a remote environment
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Knowledge/certifications in cybersecurity
- Prior national security experience
- Startup experience; adaptability in fast-changing environments
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices
- COMPTIA Security+ or AWS Solutions Architect (or equivalent)
