The Finance Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor, providing financial insights and analysis to ensure financial commitments are met while supporting the company's growth strategy in logistics and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Finance lead coordinating weekly performance reviews, forecasting and budgeting for closed and open book contracts
- Track and manage contract profitability, providing insight on key drivers and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
- Serve as a key financial advisor to operational and commercial leaders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights
- Challenge assumptions and provide proactive, value-adding recommendations to improve operational and commercial performance
- Align short, medium and long term financial insights and risk assessments
- Ensure weekly performance is translated into monthly financials
- Part of the team leading on customer MBRs and QBRs
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification is preferred
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering role within the logistics, distribution, or supply chain sector is essential
- Significant experience managing financial performance for commercial contracts
- Demonstrable experience working with and influencing non-financial stakeholders at a senior level
- Commercial acumen: A deep understanding of the key business drivers and operational nuances within a 3PL environment
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively
- Analytical skills: Strong financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet skills
- Influencing: The confidence and ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders to make commercially sound decisions
- Proactivity: A self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving and business improvement
