Microsoft is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Program Manager on a contract basis. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping how business and technical decision makers engage with enterprise solutions through digital channels, focusing on crafting content strategies that enhance customer journeys across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Define content strategies that support commercial acquisition, education, comparison, and conversion goals across priority customer journeys
- Translate business priorities and audience needs into clear messaging frameworks, narrative structures, and modular content systems
- Partner with customer journey leads and channel owners to ensure content aligns to critical moments across the end-to-end journey
- Write, edit, and refine content for high-impact web pages, landing experiences, email, and modular components
- Ensure content is clear, persuasive, accessible, on-brand, and legally compliant while effectively addressing customer pain points and decision needs
- Source and prioritize content topics using customer demand signals, organic search data, and intent data
- Collaborate with analytics and channel leads to ensure content investments support audience needs, search opportunity, and business goals
- Apply search engine optimization and answer engine optimization best practices, including information hierarchy, internal linking, structured summaries, and FAQ patterns
- Partner with analytics teams to assess content performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Support testing, iteration, and refresh cycles based on performance signals and customer behavior
- Contribute to content standards, voice and tone guidelines, and quality benchmarks
- Support intake, briefing, review, and publishing workflows to ensure efficient and predictable execution
- Partner with delivery and agency teams to scale production while maintaining quality and consistency
- Work closely with web, email, paid, and in-product channel leads to ensure cohesive storytelling across touchpoints
- Collaborate with brand, product marketing, design, legal, localization, and analytics partners throughout the content lifecycle
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and incorporate feedback while protecting content strategy integrity
- Use AI effectively, responsibly, and confidently, integrating it into workflows while applying critical judgment and practical skills
Requirements:
- Five to seven years of experience in content strategy, content design, editorial, or digital marketing roles
- Demonstrated experience writing and optimizing content for high-traffic digital experiences
- Experience supporting business-to-business or commercial marketing audiences
- Experience working within enterprise content management system environments and modular content systems
- Experience partnering with agencies or outsourced writers
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Human-Centered Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Deep experience defining content narratives and messaging frameworks for high-traffic web and landing experiences
- Hands-on copywriting and copyediting capabilities for complex, high-visibility digital experiences
- Ability to translate established product narratives into clear, customer-centered content that supports discovery, evaluation, and conversion for commercial audiences
- Proven expertise applying search engine optimization fundamentals and emerging answer or generative engine optimization practices
- Proficiency with intent-aligned writing, information hierarchy, structured summaries, internal linking, and FAQ patterns
- Strong ability to partner with analytics teams to assess content performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Experience using engagement and behavior signals to continuously improve clarity, relevance, and effectiveness of digital content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of content operations and governance processes
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders
- AI fluency with practical application in content workflows
- Experience with modular content systems and scalable content frameworks
- Familiarity with headless or enterprise content management system environments
