- Hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS, including designing and operating infrastructure using Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools
- Experience building, operating, or supporting systems on Kubernetes (EKS), including containerized workloads and supporting platform services
- Experience designing or operating service networking and routing, such as service discovery, traffic management, or edge routing using tools like Cilium, Envoy, Kong, or Fastly
- Familiarity with observability practices and tools such as Datadog, and using metrics, logs, and traces to diagnose issues and improve system reliability
- Ability to write and maintain automation or tooling in Go, Python, or Bash, with an emphasis on clarity, safety, and long-term maintainability
- A thoughtful approach to engineering craftsmanship, including clean abstractions, readable code, and systems that are easy for others to operate
- Comfort collaborating across teams, explaining infrastructure and networking concepts clearly, and turning broad needs into practical technical solutions
- Commitment to learning and growth through knowledge sharing, documentation, and mentorship
