Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑level clinical risk and affordability indicators that strengthen the Cigna Healthcare Risk Ecosystem and inform cost‑of‑care strategy
- Translate complex clinical, claims, and trend research into compelling insights that guide business action and executive decision‑making
- Uncover and explain relationships between key cost and clinical drivers, including authorizations, diagnostic categories, episodes of care, and utilization patterns
- Partner closely with clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders to build meaningful analytics capabilities, performance indicators, and decision tools
- Apply advanced analytics, predictive models, and AI techniques to evaluate member‑level data and develop new methods for anomaly detection and risk identification
- Influence affordability outcomes by enhancing predictive capabilities that identify savings opportunities and engagement strategies
- Monitor and evaluate external data sources to inform trend narratives, projections, and long‑term affordability planning
- Leverage large, complex datasets by collaborating with data engineering, technology, and visualization teams to deliver scalable, high‑impact solutions
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing team of analytical innovators, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analytics, actuarial science, predictive modeling, or a related discipline, with demonstrated impact in healthcare or a similarly complex environment
- At least 2 years of people leadership experience, with a proven ability to inspire performance and develop analytical talent
- Strong expertise at the intersection of clinical data and predictive techniques, with hands-on experience using tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, Alteryx, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of key clinical data concepts, including CPTs, DRGs, service categories, and episodes of care
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex analyses to senior leaders and diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated success leading and influencing in a matrixed organization through collaboration rather than authority
- Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree or professional training in analytics, healthcare, or related fields is a plus
- Deep familiarity with U.S. healthcare dynamics, including provider data, claims data, health plan performance, cost drivers, and quality objectives
- Experience shaping enterprise analytics strategies or risk ecosystems that influence affordability and care delivery decisions
