The Senior Solutions Engineer for Zoom Phone will serve as a trusted technical advisor for large organizations, transforming their telephony and collaboration experiences while collaborating with various teams to enhance Zoom's telephony platform.
Responsibilities:
- Translating business objectives into comprehensive telephony solution strategies for enterprise customers
- Partnering with Sales Engineers, UCaaS Advisors, and specialists to align technical recommendations with customer needs
- Collaborating with product, architecture, and quality teams to test and validate new telephony features before production release
- Demonstrating advanced UCaaS and CCaaS solutions to technical and executive audiences
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex telephony and network configurations during proof-of-concept phases
- Influencing product roadmaps by sharing customer use cases and market insights with Product Management teams
- Delivering targeted demonstrations showcasing telephony integrations, AI-powered features, and workflow automations
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation to support solution delivery and sales enablement
- Mentoring team members on advanced telephony concepts and best practices
Requirements:
- Bringing 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or customer-facing engineering roles
- Demonstrating expert-level understanding of telephony technologies, including SIP, RTP, QoS, COS, codecs, and PBX architectures
- Applying strong knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals: routing, switching, LAN/WAN, firewalls, TCP/IP (IPv4), DNS, and SBCs
- Understanding UCaaS and CCaaS market landscape, including competitors like Microsoft, Cisco, RingCentral, Amazon, and 8x8
- Collaborating effectively across departments—product management, QA, architecture, and customer success
- Communicating complex technical concepts in clear, business-relevant terms
- Thriving in dynamic, growth-oriented environments with a self-motivated and analytical approach
- Holding certifications such as MCSE, CCIE, or equivalent networking and telecommunication credentials
