Dynamic Energy is on a mission to decarbonize the grid by bringing more distributed renewable energy online across the U.S. The Business Development Representative (BDR) will identify new business opportunities, generate and qualify leads, and assist in sales support to drive growth and profitability for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Client acquisition / lead generation (primary focus): Research target accounts and contacts; conduct outbound outreach (phone, email, and other channels); qualify inbound and outbound leads; schedule meetings and transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales leader
- Sales support: Assist with preparation of proposals, contracts, presentations, and other documentation; coordinate information needed to advance opportunities; support deal execution as directed
- Reporting and administration: Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity and client interactions in the CRM; prepare recurring activity and pipeline reports; complete administrative tasks as needed
- Professional development: Stay current on renewable energy and competitive landscape; participate in training and coaching to improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness
Requirements:
- Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Work Experience: Understanding of sales fundamentals and customer service practices; prior business development/inside sales experience is a plus
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build rapport and handle objections; proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined activity tracking; basic understanding of the solar/renewable industry
- Work Style: Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organization, time management, and follow-through
- Work Experience: 1–2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar role; experience in solar or renewable energy is a plus
- Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial or utility-scale solar sales cycles; knowledge of solar energy systems/value proposition; relevant renewable-energy training or certification
