The Planet Group is seeking a Senior SAP HR ABAP Developer with strong Payroll development experience for a 6-month contract role. Requires 40% travel to Allentown, PA.

Length: 6 month contract with possible extension
Location: REMOTE with 40% travel to Allentown, PA travel expenses are reimbursed
Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP HR ABAP Developer with strong Payroll development experience to support a global SAP program currently transitioning from design into build and upcoming SIT. This is a high-impact role requiring a seasoned consultant who can operate independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP HR/Payroll ABAP solutions
• Work on Payroll BAdIs, integrations, and custom enhancements
• Support transition from Design, Build, SIT (System Integration Testing)
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll-related technical issues

Requirements

• 8 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll ABAP
• Experience with Payroll BAdIs, enhancements, and integrations
• US Payroll experience preferred (not required)
• Proven ability to work in build and testing phases of SAP programs
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Senior-level consultant (experienced Sr. Consultant or Manager-level)
• Able to perform in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
• Self-sufficient and delivery-focused
