Butler Aerospace & Defense is seeking manufacturing engineers to join a team responsible for creation of process plans for military aircraft derivative or modification programs. The role involves planning activities across various installation packages and requires interaction with project leadership and peers.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of process plans, following plan guidance, and using templates
- Incorporation of check comments
- Opportunity for growth into Checking, or Work Breakdown Structure
- Opportunity for work in other areas including: structure, hydraulic, fuel, waste water, oxygen
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with bachelor's degree in technical field, 5 years without degree
- Candidates will typically have 5-14 years of experience
- Candidates must be able to be granted access to Boeing systems
- Experience in creation and/or revision of manufacturing process plans for aerospace assembly or installation
- Ability to interpret engineering data, including 2D drawings and bill of material
- Proficient in software MESCI, CAPP, GOLDESP
- Able to read data in REDARS, IVT, ENOVIA, and CATIA
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Prefer ABET accredited Technical degree (i.e. Engineering, Engineering Technology)
- Experience with Boeing aircraft programs and tools
- Prior experience with Boeing processes and specifications. For example adhesives & sealants, electrical bonding & grounding, and fastener torque
- Prior experience with Boeing commercial aircraft: 737, 747, 777, 787
