Under the direction and supervision of the Division Supervisor/Manager, the Sr Lab Assistant ensures accurate and timely drawing, receipt, centrifugation, and delivery of laboratory specimens to appropriate departments and reference labs. Staff duties may include specimen collection (Phlebotomy), receiving, accessioning, plating and set up (Processing, Microbiology, Pathology), and loading specimens on instruments and basic instrument maintenance (Chemistry, Hematology, Pathology).

Required Qualifications:
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
- 1 year experience as a phlebotomist or Lab Assistant performing blood specimen collections, specimen processing, centrifuging and handling send out specimens to other Laboratories, or experience in working in a laboratory division.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in blood specimen collections.
- 2 years of experience performing specimen processing, centrifuging and handling send out specimens to other laboratories or working in a laboratory division.
