Dynatrace is a leader in unified observability and security, and they are seeking a Solutions Engineer to provide high-quality technical support to customers and internal teams across North America. This role is designed for individuals early in their Solutions Engineering career, focusing on technical guidance, customer engagement, and collaboration with various teams to enhance customer experience and product offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert on the Dynatrace platform, supporting customer engagements across discovery, evaluation, and solution design
- Execute and support live and remote product demonstrations that highlight Dynatrace’s differentiated value
- Provide technical guidance in the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle
- Participate in and support proof‑of‑concept (PoC) engagements, working closely with customers and internal teams
- Partner with a large Sales team to identify and support new sales opportunities and expansions within existing accounts
- Assist with RFIs, RFPs, and technical documentation, learning how potential clients evaluate solutions
- Build strong technical relationships with customers and prospects, positioning Dynatrace as a trusted partner
- Gather, qualify and provide feedback from customers to Product Management to improve Dynatrace’s market share and meet the market needs
- Collaborate across teams including Product, Engineering, Expert Services, Customer Success, and Marketing
- Build best practices and share knowledge the team to continuously develop and enhance both your personal and team capabilities
- Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations, in order to attend the specific demands of each customer
- Continuously develop technical, presentation, and customer‑facing skills through structured enablement and mentorship
- Position might be filled at a higher level based on candidate experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to produce a working outcome and be able to manage and document this process
- Fundamental understanding and experience with command line interfaces; bash, powershell, etc
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical value into business value
- Interest in application performance, observability, cloud platforms, or distributed systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills and technical curiosity
- The ability to learn quickly, adapt to an evolving environment, and incorporate feedback
- Comfort supporting multiple customer engagements with guidance from experienced teammates
- Exposure to observability, monitoring, APM, or logging tools
- Experience developing or maintaining application code or infrastructure
- A foundational understanding of software systems, infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps concepts
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or scripting languages
- Previous experience working as part of a sales, pre‑sales, or customer‑facing technical team
