Microsoft is seeking a Program Manager (Contract) to support production execution and data-driven decision-making for a dynamic team managing hardware vendor operations. The successful candidate will collect, analyze, and report on production activities, ensuring materials readiness and schedule adherence while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, assess, and analyze data across multiple projects and vendors to support production tracking, reporting, and decision-making
- Create, update, and maintain dashboards and reporting outputs to provide ongoing production and project insights
- Support data collection and reporting for vendor production activities and project execution
- Contribute to both new project setup and ongoing operational tracking initiatives
- Perform data manipulation, tracking, reporting, and analysis to support team objectives
- Identify data sources and build reporting structures during initial ramp-up period
- Maintain ongoing reporting systems and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Support issue resolution and quality outcome tracking through data analysis
- Collaborate with team members to define data needs and reporting requirements
- Assist with production schedule adherence monitoring and materials readiness tracking
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on experience with data analysis in a professional setting
- Project coordination experience is a strong differentiator
- SQL experience is considered a strong differentiator but not required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- Data analysis and data interpretation capabilities
- Power BI dashboard creation and maintenance
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data manipulation and reporting
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic knowledge of production processes and quality control
- Basic knowledge of business and management principles
- Proficiency with computer software including MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- Prior exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, or project-based environments preferred
- PMI or PMP certification preferred
