Glanbia Performance Nutrition is a company with a diverse portfolio of nutrition brands, and they are seeking a Customer Business Manager to drive new business development. The role involves identifying new market opportunities, leading the sales process, and launching GPN brands in previously untapped territories.
Responsibilities:
- Find the White Space: Scout and vet new platforms, marketplaces, and prioritize retail segments that align with GPN’s brands
- Lead the end-to-end sales process. You’re the primary point of contact from the first cold outreach to the final signed contract
- Build the 'Go-To-Market' plan for every new entry, making sure we have the right products, pricing, and positioning
- Own the initial launch of our core products and new innovations into these untapped channels
- Build and manage the first-ever marketing calendars for these accounts, testing what works to drive early revenue
- Work with our creative teams to make sure our shelf looks premium and converts right away
- Build sales forecasts from scratch using platform traffic data and category benchmarks
- Partner with Supply Chain to set initial stocking levels
- Act as the voice of your new channels in the monthly business review meetings
- You’re responsible for the P&L of your new accounts, including revenue, profitability, and spend
- Collaborate with Brand, Finance, RGM, and CP&S to establish the fulfillment models, pricing structures, and data workflows required to get a new partner live and operational
- Total sales generated in markets where GPN had zero presence last year
- How close your launch predictions were to actual sales (minimizing OOS and excess inventory)
- The time it takes to get a partner from the 'first pitch' to the 'first sale.'
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in eCommerce, Business Development, or Sales (CPG experience preferred)
- Advanced MS Suite (Excel, PP, Word) or Google Docs
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Google Analytics, or specialized eCommerce training)
- Affiliate & Social Commerce Knowledge: understanding of affiliate marketing models and creator-led commerce (e.g., TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, or specialized affiliate networks)
- Content & Digital Shelf Optimization: Expertise in content optimization strategies to drive conversion, including A+ content, SEO-driven product titles, and mobile-first imagery
- AI & Technical Proficiency (Preferred): Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate business development—such as using generative AI for creative briefing, automated data analysis for market trends, or AI-driven tools for SEO and content optimization
- Customer/Broker engagement and collaboration: Experience building partner relationships that drive joint accountability and results
