HealthEquity is dedicated to empowering healthcare consumers to save and improve lives. As a Principal Product Manager on the Platform team, you will develop and execute product strategies while leading complex technical initiatives to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute platform‑level product strategy, vision, and roadmaps aligned with company priorities and long‑term growth objectives
- Lead large, cross‑functional technical initiatives, partnering with engineering, architecture, security, design, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable capabilities
- Drive the development of shared platform capabilities (e.g., platform services, internal products, or reusable components) consumed by multiple product teams
- Own system integration patterns across the platform, including API‑based and file‑based data exchange
- Define product requirements and success metrics, translating complex technical and business needs into clear, actionable outcomes
- Prioritize work based on customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, and platform sustainability
- Drive collaboration and alignment across teams to ensure effective execution and delivery of platform initiatives
- Monitor and measure platform performance, using data and insights to inform decisions and continuous improvement
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform platform strategy and identify opportunities for innovation
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for platform capabilities, providing guidance and support to product, engineering, and partner teams
- Mentor and support other product managers, contributing to strong product management practices and a culture of accountability and ownership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex or technically‑oriented initiatives
- Experience delivering system integrations, including APIs and file-based data exchange
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing product strategies that drive business growth and enable scalable solutions while supporting high‑quality customer and user experiences
- Strong ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams in a highly technical, matrixed environment
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive prioritization, decision‑making and measuring product success
- Clear and effective communication skills, with experience conveying complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with modern product development lifecycle practices
- Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to apply emerging technologies and industry trends to real product and platform challenges
- Comfort operating with ambiguity, exercising sound judgment, and taking accountability for outcomes at a principal level
