
Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
The Rocky’s Residents Residential Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring a safe, structured, and positive residential experience for high school participants in USF’s summer youth programs. This live-in position serves as the primary on-site authority during evening and overnight hours, overseeing residential staff and supporting the well-being of approximately 80–100 student participants.
This role blends student support, operational coordination, and risk management, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and staff leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Safety & Supervision:
Serve as the primary on-site authority during evening and overnight hours for residential programs
Ensure the safety, well-being, and accountability of all residential participants
Lead response efforts for medical, behavioral, or emergency situations
Enforce youth protection policies, program expectations, and codes of conduct
Staff Leadership & Support:
Supervise and support a team of approximately 16 residential staff members (e.g., counselors)
Provide guidance to staff on student management, conflict resolution, and best practices
Maintain clear and consistent communication with staff to ensure alignment and coverage
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as a key point of contact for parent/guardian communication as needed
Communicate with university partners (e.g., housing, campus safety, health services) when appropriate
Ensure timely and accurate communication of incidents and updates to program leadership
Incident Management & Documentation:
Document and report incidents, including medical concerns, behavioral issues, and policy violations
Maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with university and youth program policies
Support follow-up actions to ensure resolution and continuous improvement
Residential Experience Support:
Assist with roommate conflicts and student concerns to foster a positive residential environment
Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive community for all participants
Work Schedule & Expectations:
Live-in position during program weeks
Primarily evening and overnight hours, with some flexibility based on program needs
On-call responsibility for urgent matters and overnight supervision
