Senior AWS Cloud Developer (Python)
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite – Local candidates only)
12+ months Contract
Overview
We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Developer with strong experience in Python and AWS services to support a cloud-native application.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Python and AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway)
- Build workflows using AWS Step Functions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Terraform)
- Develop and integrate REST APIs (Angular/React is a plus)
- Work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Handle logging and monitoring using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Perform testing, debugging, and support Agile development
Required Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong Python + AWS (serverless) experience
- Hands-on with Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway
- Experience with IaC (CDK/Terraform), Git, CI/CD, Docker
- Basic frontend knowledge (Angular or React preferred)
